OK, so about this changing jobs question, or staying with a company… Now, if another company offers better opportunities, do you jump ship or are you loyal to your company? You need, uh, to think about your company’s future, not about your personal future. I think this is a very, uh, sometimes it’s a complicated question because, I think, suppose a company gives an employee a reasonable salary and compensation. Then I think that ethically this individual owes a corresponding debt to the company. Now of course, you can’t only think about the company because your own interests are extremely important sometimes.
So, suppose you feel that you have no prospects for advancement at a company, and another company offers you a better salary. Now I think you should give the company and your boss a reasonable amount of time, a reasonable buffer, telling them: “OK, because, for my own reasons, or [in consideration] of my prospects, I am quitting in three months.” But in the interim, if there are some, uh, problems in [work transition??], then I think you, that is to say, you should [decide] in keeping with your personal ethical, uh, uh, uh, standards. Uh, uh, basically, that’s how I see it.
