But he wouldn’t in normal circumstances. Uh, if you express your political ideology too strongly, when you want to do business with the public sector, but you support the opposition, then government business, it becomes hard to get government business. Um, we say that when you’re doing business, keep your talk about business. It’s best, if you have preferences in political parties, not to express that. In public settings, you shouldn’t discuss political topics. It’s best not to talk about it. Uh, in Taiwan, you not only have to consider the island, these ruling and opposition parties, but also mainland China, the mainland market. That’s because the mainland also plays a role in Taiwan’s political ideologies.
That’s to say, because Taiwan and China have intensive contacts with one another and many firms have set up factories in the mainland and are doing business [there], if you say you support a given party, for example, the ruling party, which is currently the Democratic Progressive Party, then doing business with the mainland becomes more difficult. This is the situation. So generally, if you’re in Taiwan, in the corporate arena, you’re best not speaking about your political preferences. If you’re doing business within Taiwan, and if you’re doing business with the mainland, you avoid these issues. Otherwise, when you’re trying to get some business going, it’s going to be a major headache. When the time comes, they’re going to find some reason, and you’re not going to have any way to get that deal. 而我们说在商言商的话,最好,有政党的偏好,可是不要表现出来。甚至在公关场合你们也不要说谈论政治上的问题。最好是不要谈论。啊台湾除这个岛内,这个执政党,在野党 ,还要考虑大陆方面那些大陆市场方面。因为大陆又牵扯到台湾的政治形形态方面。所以说因为台湾跟大陆相关密切往来,很多企业在大陆都有设工厂,都有做生意。你如果是说支持某一个党,例如说你是属于执政党,目前是属于那个民进党的话,那就要跟大陆在做生意上就比较困难,就有这个状况。所以一般在台湾的话,现在商业界是吧最好都不要谈论有一些政党偏好的事情。除非在台湾内做生意。甚至于在大陆做生意都会避免这些问题。否则的话到时候你做起生意来,这麻烦就很大了。就到时候他要找个理由,你就没办法争取到这个生意。甚至于他会私下去查查你的一些问题呀,一些经营问题,税的问题呀,这都会受影响。这是我的观点。谢谢! |
